The beading is done by Maasai "mamas" working in their home area. By meeting with their designer weekly to receive materials, the artisans can earn a living while maintaining their rural and more traditional lifestyle.

Beads are hand sewn in leather with an overlay of leather glued and stitched on the back to protect the beading and make them comfortable for the pet. Buckles are solid, hand-cast brass. Available in a variety of colors, and in two widths: 3/4, and 1 inch. Collar lengths are from 10 to 24 inches. Lurcher collars are available in 2 inch width in even lengths from 12 to 22 inches. Leads are approx 4 feet long in ¾” Standard widths. Leads are not recommend for dogs that pull or for dogs over 50 pounds.

Sizing: Our lengths reflect the measurement from the end of the leather at the buckle to the center hole.
